How to Fix Green Water

Does your swimming pool water have a strange green hue? Wondering what the problem is? Well, it may not come as much of a surprise that
green water is usually caused by algae growing in the pool. Sometimes, it's too small for the eye to see, but chances are it's there.
To clean up an algae problem, simply shock the pool as described in your maintenance manual.

If problems with green water persist, add an algaecide. You can also brush the floor and walls of the pool
periodically to help prevent growth.

Know that pools in warm climates often have a significant algae growth problem, and you'll have to stay on top of this issue to keep it from reoccurring. Implement a regular prevent plan, using the tactics mentioned here.
